April Visit to Palm Springs

It's never too late to post about a good time....

We went to Palm Springs in late April to visit Nana and Papa and friends. We had tons of pool time, running around in the grass, long walks at the golf course and some golf time. We even had a night out with friends, while Nana and Papa hung out with J. It was a perfect trip!

Until Next Year..... Thank You Palm Springs for another great time!

Christmas in Maine

I have had this done for some time and never activated it. SORRY!

Way late. I know its May now and I am finally posting this, but still had to share.......

We had snow!!!! It was a wonderful Christmas in Maine. We were able to be there for almost 2 1/2 weeks. We stayed with Memere Sue and Grampy Fred. Johnny loved having pets to play with. He loved kitty cat Leo and Sammy the dog.

We took so many photos and videos. I hope what we share, tells the story of a really great visit. We are so lucky to have amazing, supportive and loving families and friends.

Enjoy!

and will still add more... I want to share some sledding videos soon! It's just hard to go through 100's and find all the perfect ones to share.

Johnny's 13 Month Photo Shoot

Sharing our favorite photos from J's 13 month photo shoot (tried to have it be his 12 month, but things got too busy).

If you ask me... they are too perfect! They show how active and fun J is. He is a natural in front of the camera.. when he wants to be. Our photographer Bill from Select Photography is amazing as well.

Johnny Updates Through January 2013

A favorite recent picture from bath time:
Johnny Fontaine, 14 months old

Time is just getting away from us. Sorry for the long delay between posts.

It has been a very busy time with holidays, traveling, sicknesses, house projects and life in general.

Let me give you a brief recap of everything Johnny has been up to.
Johnny is:
  • climbing
  • going up stairs is easy, but still understanding going down without help
  • eating everything

Johnny had:
  • his first stomach flu a week before thanksgiving
  • the hand, foot and mouth sickness just before Christmas. A fever of 101-102 for 3 days and then he didn't want to eat. Took him to the pediatrician and he let us know he had white sores in his throat and has the mouth part of the common sickness.
  • head cold congestion just before we left for Maine
  • an eye infection (maybe pink eye) and a slight cold when we got home from Maine. Had crusty eyes on the plane and for a couple days when we returned.

Johnny is now saying:

Johnny also loves to:
  • shake your hand and say hola or hello
  • lead you to what he wants (will take your hand and lead you to the snacks, if he is hungry)
  • blow kisses and gives hugs/kisses
  • give cinco (high fives)
And sooo much more. Johnny keeps us very busy and we love it. He is one amazing wonderful, full of life and energy little boy. I wouldn't want it any other way. Just makes for a tired working Mom and Dad!

Just a monkey and a couple bananas

Happy Halloween!!!!

We had a great October of family fun with friends. We decided to dress up with J. I think it was an appropriate costume for all of us.

Pumpkin patch time. J helped pick out a pumpkin with some help from his nephews, Andrew and Carter. The whole Carlson crew and Papa and Grandma came out to enjoy the day with us.

We had a blast at the Huffakers. The Frenzels, Huffakers and Fontaine's did some pre-Halloween fun. Dressed the kiddos up, attempted to take photos and then got the power tools out to carve the pumpkins. It is always a great time when we're together.

On Halloween, Brenda and I took J to the U Village to see what it was all about. J had so much fun. He was more interested in the music and dancing, but did take a couple pieces of candy for mom:)

Then Matt, Brenda and I took J to Northgate Mall for a bit more trick or treating. All in all, it was a very fun night together.

Enjoy some pics from our Halloween adventures.
