Johnny Updates Through January 2013

A favorite recent picture from bath time:
Johnny Fontaine, 14 months old

Time is just getting away from us. Sorry for the long delay between posts.

It has been a very busy time with holidays, traveling, sicknesses, house projects and life in general.

Let me give you a brief recap of everything Johnny has been up to.
Johnny is:
  • climbing
  • going up stairs is easy, but still understanding going down without help
  • eating everything
  • running
  • dancing
  • talking
  • signing
  • laughing
  • getting more teeth (total of 7 and 2 molars on bottom)
  • loving bath time
  • loving hot tub time with dad
  • loves
  • vacuuming

Johnny had:
  • his first stomach flu a week before thanksgiving
  • the hand, foot and mouth sickness just before Christmas. A fever of 101-102 for 3 days and then he didn't want to eat. Took him to the pediatrician and he let us know he had white sores in his throat and has the mouth part of the common sickness.
  • head cold congestion just before we left for Maine
  • an eye infection (maybe pink eye) and a slight cold when we got home from Maine. Had crusty eyes on the plane and for a couple days when we returned.

Johnny is now saying:
nigh nigh (night night)
ba ba (bottle)
bye bye
HOT
uh oh
hello
hola (hello in spanish)
meow (cat)
gato (cat in spanish)
ruff ruff (dog)
ma ma
da da
vvvvrrrrrr (for the vacuum)

Johnny does the signs for:

more
dancing (moves from side to side to get us to play music)

Johnny also loves to:
  • shake your hand and say hola or hello
  • lead you to what he wants (will take your hand and lead you to the snacks, if he is hungry)
  • blow kisses and gives hugs/kisses
  • give cinco (high fives)
And sooo much more. Johnny keeps us very busy and we love it. He is one amazing wonderful, full of life and energy little boy. I wouldn't want it any other way. Just makes for a tired working Mom and Dad!

Next up - Christmas in Maine photos and stories !!!!
