Already April - Where do we begin? Palm Springs.... !!!!
Johnny's first airplane ride to Palm Spring and it went really well. Johnny was fine on take off and landing. During the flight he was awake mostly and enjoyed smiling at everyone around us. He even got to try a pickle for the first time on the way home.
Johnny loves the pool and we took alot of pictues. Here he is for the first time in a pool with Dad.
He had his first shower too.

We had so much fun in Palm Springs. Matt got to golf with Bob (Papa) and I got to hang out with my Mom and take walks with Johnny. Lots of pooltime, walks, and nice dinners for all of us AND a great Easter with family and friends.
Thank you so much for sharing Johnny's first Easter with us. Karen, Danielle, Manu and Kate. It was such a fun night out for all of us (you too Brea) and dinner of songs and cold food will always be remembered! It was our first overnight without Johnny. We missed him, but really enjoyed time with friends. Thanks Grandma and Papa for watching him!!!
As you can see below, we had an Easter photo shoot with the help of everyone. Kate had a vision and we went with it. Big hat, bubbles, and Karen as a bunny. Best time ever!

At the end of April,we got to take Johnny to one of our favorite places. The tulip festival. It was the best year yet and we have the pictures to prove it.

Johnny has started solids and seems to really like it. So far, he has tried and liked; apple sauce, bananas, rice, oatmeal, prunes, pears, carrots, cottage cheese and sweet potatoes. He did not like peas and avocado.
He is sleeping well and still in our room, but will be moving him to his bedroom soon. He is almost sleeping through the night, with one feeding around 2am. He is starting to show signs of teething, but nothing is coming in yet. He sits up like a champ and is starting to move, but more in circles and a clock motion.
Johnny also started swim lessons in mid April. Both Matt and I get to be in the water with him and he seems to really like it. The water is even cooler then Palm Springs, but he hasn't cried or fussed about getting out. We sing, blow bubbles and help him jump off the side. We always grab the same bright orange floating starfish to swim after and he loves it. We plan to take the summer off and go to the pool ourselves and then start up lessons again in the fall.
One more big event in April was Amelie turned the BIG 1!!!! She had her 1st birthday at Golden Gardens and it was a great time. Here's a few pictures from her party.

What to look forward to next..... See his 6 month photo shoot. It's own post, cause it's that good! A cinco party to introduce friends to Finn Frenzel. Mother's Day and sunny days of outdoor adventures.
