WHAT A YEAR! Our Johnny Fontaine is now 1 year old. Where do the days and months go. Glad to know I have this blog to remember all of his milestones. This is pretty much his online baby book:)
Johnny's 12 month Dr.'s visit went very well. He even got a fluoride brush for his 6 teeth and then had to get 4 shots. Here he is at the visit:
Stats:
22 lb 6 oz (63.9% percentile for weight)
2' 6.71" tall(78.86% percentile for height)
18.5" head circumference (73.2% percentile for head circumference)
Our first double family vacation with the Frenzels. We went to the timeshare in Birch Bay, WA (by the Canadian border) for an extended weekend at the beach. The weather was a bit cool, but that didn't stop us from digging for clams, hot tub time and lots of football, eating and adult beverages.
And now onto the not so fun part of the month, J's first reaction to something and it really scared us. All of a sudden he started to have red spots on his thighs and his chest. We called the nurse line and they let us know to watch it and have him take baking soda baths. The next day it got worse, so I made an appointment. It was all over his body now and none of the photos online seemed to be the same. As you can see, it was pretty bad. 3 Dr's came to diagnose him and they came to a conclusion it was a viral rash and this was his body reacting to an infection he had. He never had a fever or signs of being sick before this, so we still are unclear on exactly what infection may have caused it. It went away in 4 days and the whole time he was happy and fine and seemed unaffected.

Now the PARTY! What a perfect day. We had around 60 people with kids at our house. Thank goodness the weather was nice enough for the party to be in the backyard or I have no idea where everyone would've hung out. We did a tailgate theme for his football themed party. Memere Sue and Aunt Lisa brought us red hot dogs from Maine and we had polish dogs, potato salad, veggies, candy bar, hot dog and nacho bar with all the fixings... it was gooood. And to drink, a keg of Pi Light from Elliott Bay Brewery, wines and water and juices. If you ask me.... yummy and delicious fun. Here are some pics from J's big day!
What a month!!! A year has gone by with our wonderful baby boy and what a perfect year it has been. Looking forward to many more years with our baby boy and each other--packed with tons of adventures and wonderful stories to share.
Really looking forward to having Christmas in Maine. Johnny may take up hockey :)
End with fun stats of what J has done this month:
- WALKING all over the place. He is now a full on walker and has been for about a month.
- Talks a ton and says - WOW, HOT, agua, ma ma, da da, up, night night, bye bye
- He also signs - more, all done, waves hi, bye
- And love his Bizzy Bear books and 100 words books. Especially when he can turn the page
- Sleeps like a champ and all through the night, but does wake up around 6:30am every morning.
