July in Maine, Johnny turns 10 months!

Maine Maine Maine = Fun Fun Fun

Camp, named MARLOUCHAWIL after the Fontaine sons. Matt loved having J here to start memories with his son.

To kick off July, we traveled with Johnny for the first time to see Maine and all its wonder, especially meeting most of the family. We spent 2 weeks in Maine with family and friends and it was perfect. The weather was in the upper 80's the whole time. We stayed overnight at camp, half the time and loved it. Got to wake up to the lake in the morning and feed J his breakfast outside, while we sipped our coffee and just relaxed. J had just started to crawl, so he was exploring everywhere and everything. He even liked the lake, even though it was a bit colder then he's used to. We had a kiddie pool set up for him too. Anyway he can be in the water, he will take it. We had many fun days together and Matt and I even got away for a night. We went to Monhegan Island for hiking, history, lobster, board games and just hanging out together. It was truly beautiful. We will be back! I hope all the pics attached tell the story of our fun times in Maine. We will be back to see everyone at Christmas!!!
Great Memeres and J

J's 1st 4th of July

Thanks Nick  for creating a barge of fireworks - AMAZING!

The fireworks remote - YEAP!

Matt and Ryan went ocean fishing. Matt caught this Pollock.

Together!

In July, Johnny also got to meet Jackson and Jason. Stacy's sons. It was great to see them interact together. To many more visits and crazy boy play time.

July was also Tanya's baby shower. Let's just say, Charlotte is one loved little girl. I cant wait for J and Charlotte to hang out. An amazing shower, so many little perfect things. She even has her own shoes that say her name....AND Mag still makes the best cookies. I grew up on these cookies and even had them at my shower.
THE COOKIES = yummy!

I couldn't even get all the presents in one picture..

Perfect!

And then to end the month... Mom got to go for the day to boat races. Always a great time with the Beeman family and friends. I will only share a few of the pics, since most of them just don't need to be shared.

To sum it all up. Here are some fun facts about J this month:

  • He is crawling!
  • He is pulling himself up
  • He talks a lot - go figure. And say; mama and uh oh alot
  • He loves to walk with help
  • He stands for a few seconds but then sits
  • He has 2 teeth on the bottom and the top are coming through as well
  • Loves to use the walking push toy
  • Eating a lot more. Even tried my meatloaf at the end of the month

This summer has already been amazing and we are only through July. Labor Day weekend we will be at Casa de Carlson on Lake Roosevelt where Papa can show off his new toy to J.

It's almost here... at the end of September, J turns 1. I can't even believe it. But that does mean, Mama gets to plan a party!

Stay tuned...........

Stats:
20 lb 12.5 oz (57% percentile for weight)
2' 5.33" (85% percentile for height)
18.27 inches (81.75% percentile for head circumference)

We had our 9 month check up this month. As you can see above Johnny is still growing and topping the charts. He is healthy and happy and that's what matters most. No shots this visit, but his next visit at 12 months we'll have a few.

This month we had Father's Day and Mom's Birthday fall on the same day. We all got to share in the weekend. For Father's Day, we got Matt a hiking backpack, so on Father's Day we'd be able to use it... and we did.

We celebrated my birthday on Saturday and took the Edmonds ferry over to Kingston for lunch and then back to Edmonds. In Edmonds we got to walk around the art festival. After walking around, we wemt for yummy frozen yogurt sundaes and then came home for dinner together. It was the most perfect day with my guys. Sunday was Father's Day, which we shared above and Sunday night, we got a sitter so we could go out for a very nice dinner together at http://toulousepetit.com/

Johnny and I got to celebrate with family this month too. My cousin Michael got into the UW and we went to his graduation party. I wanted to show Michael, Johnny was proud of him, so please dont judge the shirt, my Coug fans...... I did it for family and as you can see, he represented coug colors in other ways:)

May was Mother's Day and so much more.......Johnny is 8 months now!

The month started off with the Frenzel's in town. We celebrated and had a Cinco-Derby Party  at our house for friends to say hi and meet Finn.
AND - We were asked to be Finn's God parents. What a wonderful privledge and honor. We ofcourse excepted!!
The Girls and Declan Malcom

Our God Baby, Finn Frenzel

We had the most amazing Mother's Day! My wonderful husband surprised me with a homemade rhubarb coffee cake, followed by even more breakfast yummies and then took me to my massage appointment he made for me. While I was at my appointment, he scouted out a beach and picked up a picnic lunch. We went to Richmond Beach and enjoyed a beautiful day together. The weather couldn't have been better and was in the low 80's. It was the perfect day with my perfect company, my guys. I am soooo lucky!

Best Nanny ever  = Ix-Chel. She has started to take the little ones on adventures. She is able to fit all 3 in her SUV and they really seem to enjoy it. She has already done a trip to the zoo, pet store to see animals and many local park visits. This summer will be full of exciting trips and adventures around town. I know they are all in good hands learning about everything with her and eachother!

Johnny is eating lots of different solids and loving it. He gets to eat dinner with us and be in a highchair at home and at restaurants. He's still not into peas or avocado, but pretty much everything else is delicious.

We think he's teething, but then no teeth. Maybe some will pop through in the next month or so. He really enjoys frozen apple pieces in his mesh teether. I have heard it could be after he turns 1, ya never know when a tooth will make an appearance. Truman already has 3.

He's making moves. Not so much crawling yet, but we're getting close. He gets on his knees, but no forward movement. He rocks from his sitting position to his knees and then goes to his stomach. Will flip over and then hang out on his back. Sometimes moving back to his front. He will push himself backwards and in circles. We have been calling his moves the Michael Jackson back crawler! We have the house baby proofed and even the deck has gates too. We're ready.... we think.

It is so much fun to watch him try all these new things. He gets excited and knows how to clap his hands. He talks all the time (I have no idea where he gets that from).  He says 'ma ma ma ma', 'da da da da', 'wow wow wow wow' and 'ba ba ba ba'...... it's awesome to hear him talk and his laugh is so cute.

One of the best parts about May has been all the pool and hot tub time we've had together. We have swim lessons on Thursday's and then fun in the 'not too hot' hot tub at home. He loves the water. Lessons end in June, so we're taking the summer off to do our own pool adventures.

He's some pics of him doing a few of these things:

May ended with Memorial Day weekend with the grandparents. We started our drive Friday at 5:30am and got to their house on Lake Roosevelt around 10am. It was a very nice drive and of course J did awesome and is so far a great traveler. We had a relaxing and fun time during our visit. Papa and Grandma got lots of time with Johnny. We went on long walks and had yummy family dinners. The lake was way down, so no boating.... but we did have a picnic at the beach. We plan on doing Labor Day weekend at the lake too. Johnny will love playing at the Lake with his Papa and Grandma... and Papa's new boat:)

Another great month as a family. I cant say enough about how much joy Johnny brings to us and everyone he meets.

Our flights are purchased for Maine. See you July 3rd-15th! We are super excited. Crossing our fingers that Johnny likes to sleep on planes like he does at home. Speaking of... Johnny is now in his room and sleeping through the night since Memorial Day weekend. AWESOME!!!!!

Next month we'll share lots more, like my birthday and father's day being the same day... YEAH!

Our Superman says... until next time:
