Johnny's 1st Christmas and He Turns 3 Months

WOW, how time flies.

Johnny is already 3 months old! December was a really fun month. We started figuring out our own holiday traditions and spent a lot of quality time watching our little man grow, laugh, play and be amazing.

It all started with loading up the family sleigh and heading to the Christmas tree farm in Carnation. We visited Santa and picked out our beautiful tree. We also got to introduce Johnny to his Great Grandma Char on the way home. Johnny loved listening to her talk to him. It was pretty cute.

He had his first Christmas at home and shared that special day with Dad, Mom, Papa and Grandma. He's worn many holiday suits. On Christmas Eve and Christmas he wore his Santa suit. He also had his holiday pj's that were so cozy he slept a straight 7 hours on Christmas Eve and 8 hours on Christmas night. A Christmas present for Mom and Dad. He was spoiled (well deserved) and has many toys to play with once he gets a bit bigger. Thank you everyone. We look forward to celebrating Christmas in Maine next year.

Christmas morning nap with Papa, once it was all done
Some places he visited in December:
Tanya's house for candy making
Shauna's baby shower in Tacoma
An office visit to Alere Wellbeing to meet all my co-workers
Jenny's 40th bday party
Deb and Wes's cocktail party
A Costco trip
Brenda's house to just hang out
Meet Santa
A trip to the Christmas tree farm in Carnation
Great Grandma Char's house
**just to name a few

Since last month, he has gotten even more smiley and so strong. He's already trying his bumbo. He likes to sit in it with his tray of toys and hang out. He still loves his keys and loves to suck on his fingers. Sometimes he even gags himself (we are working on this one with him). He actually seems to like tummy time and has rolled from his tummy to his back 4 times now. He laughs at all our jokes and makes the best faces at us. He has daddy time and they love to look in the mirror, read and just have guy talk. Everyday is wonderful with him in it..... Johnny we love you!

But back to work for me next week. Our nanny share begins on the 9th. Truman and Johnny will get to play each day while the mommies go back to work. We have a great feeling about our new nanny Ix-Chel and look forward to her starting and being a part of our life. I am still able to work from home when I need and will do that about 2-3 days a week.

What's upcoming : Our next Dr. visit is at the end of Jan. We will have updates on his stats then. Johnny will meet Declan (The Malcom's new baby boy), Sarah's baby shower is at the beginning of Feb. and Aunt Nicole will be here in mid February to finally meet Johnny.

Fun times ahead... Stay tuned.

Johnny is 2 months old

An update on Johnny and our family!

Johnny had his 2 month check up today and he is growing and developing perfectly. He got his first round of shots and did cry a bit, but stopped. He was so tough!

Stats:
13 lbs 12.5 oz (89.8% percentile for weight)
24 inches (78% percentile for height)
16 inches head circumference (94% percentile for head - he has a big brain)

He has been smiling since 4 weeks now and every day he changes a bit more or does something funny and cute for me to laugh at. I think he will be one funny little guy. He loves to play on his play yard and talk to the animals hanging above. He has figured out his fingers and likes to shake his rattle and put it by his mouth. He loves our voice when we sing to him (the only person to ever love my voice). We do tummy time and he can hold his head up high and mighty (see pic below of rattle fun and tummy time). He is truly the best and already a genius.

And we cant forget Frenzel - They finally meet!

Memere Sue from Maine was in town for 10 amazing days. We had so much fun and miss her very much. We took Johnny to Pike Place Market and walks to Starbucks and around town every day. We had a great time together, it was very special. We plan to be in Maine for a couple weeks in July and Christmas next year.

Christmas is just around the corner and we will be celebrating with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Bob here in Seattle. We plan to take Johnny to meet Santa this weekend and photos of this will be added soon.

Johnny's First Halloween

Can you guess what we were for Halloween?

Enjoy!

Grandma and Granpa were here and they thought Matt needed an outfit to give out candy. He was a very handsome pumpkin and good sport. Thanks Grandpa Bob for letting Matt wear your hat!
